The area, situated in the southeast of Sicily, comprises eight towns that have been designated Unesco Heritage Sites in 2002. Scicli is one of them, celebrated also for being the location where the fictional character of Inspector Montalbano lives. His adventures were written by one of Italy’s most popular authors, Andrea Camilleri, who wrote 23 novels – translated into 32 languages, selling more than 30 million copies around the world – starring his Sicilian detective. Besides being itself a Baroque gem worth explore, Scicli is a short drive from Modica, Ragusa, and Noto, the grandest town of the Val di Noto and also the most touristy. Within few miles from the sandy beaches of Playa Grande, set in a residential community among other villas, Villa Ergenide is your ticket to experience this authentic and genuine part of Sicily.
The crisp and consistent white-and-blues color scheme of the open concept living room creates a consistent coastal and airy mood throughout. The cozy space features custom-made wall storage to help maintaining the clutter-free look. The versatility of low sectional sofas allows the space to be easily reconfigured and adapted at need. The stove-sink combo unit can also be hidden when not in use.
The villa features a great outdoor living space, part facing the garden and part facing the pool. Both areas feel open and airy thanks to the comfortable furniture, elegant color palette and the typical strawed pergolas, which give the space a fair amount of shade while allowing excellent airflow. The outdoor kitchen with dining area and a generous table for up to 10 guests, is perfect for preparing and enjoying meals al fresco. The cooking, dining, and relaxing areas flow together seamlessly. The meticulously landscaped grounds are perfectly appointed with a 6.5 m x 12.5 m private swimming pool, sun deck, outdoor shower and a changing room with bathroom.
